While there is not an application to help you negotiate (yet) there are many useful business apps out there to consider. As more business people transition to smart phones, more business-friendly applications are being created. Whether on the iPhone, Android or BlackBerry platform, there are many apps that may be helpful to a business negotiator.

Negotiators need access to various types of information and applications when going to face-to-face negotiations, especially if traveling for the meeting:

  • To research or keep track of business information;

  • To aid in their presentations

  • To help with communications with the other party or the team

  • To keep track of travel and other expenses

  • To keep track of flight times and delays


We have done some researching to find the best business apps out there. According to PC World, among the top ten must have iPhone apps are:

mbPointer: Lets your iPhonework as a PowerPoint pointer during your presentation

Evernote: Lets you keep track of all notes, websites and other information.

FlightTrack Pro: Keeps you up-to-date on any flight delays, etc.

If you happen to have an iPad, PC Magazine recommends the best business apps for it, including:

Dropbox for iPad: Allowing you to access documents remotely

Filemaker Go: Lets you access information from your databases.

Do you have Android-based smart phone? Not to worry, there are plenty of great business apps for that to. According to Forbes magazine, you should check out apps like:

Cab4me: Helps you find a taxi wherever you are.

Stocks: Accesses financial data you may need for up to the minute issues.

Cashbook: Lets you track your expenses.

MightyMeeting: Lets you access your PowerPoint presentations through your phone.
